We are a very popular Japanese restaurant in Vancouver, B.C. We are fully serving Japanese-style cuisine and our featured items are Chicken Teri Box, Veggie Dragon Roll, and Beef Yakiudon. Now we are looking for an experienced Food Service Supervisor who is willing to become our valued team member. We are looking for an experienced full-time Food Service Supervisor. Employer: Hoya Enterprise Inc. (o/a Sun Sushi) Position: Full-time Food Service Supervisor Open position: 2 Responsibilities: - Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, - Perform restaurant opening/closing/reporting duties, including cleaning, dishwashing, food storage, etc. - Supervise staff performance and assign duties. - Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. - Keep records such as the amount and cost of meals served and hours worked by employees. - Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, - Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, - Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, - Address customers' complaints or concerns (Respond to customer issues), - Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage. Requirement: - Completion of secondary school is required. - 2+ years of experience in food preparation or service is required. - Good communication skills - Good knowledge of food preparation and service. Wage and working hours: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour with 30-40 hours a week.
