For more information, visit our website www.sagawelco.com TO STRENGTHEN OUR TEAM IN NORTH AMERICA (VANCOUVER), WE ARE LOOKING FOR A MARINE OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT Main obligations: • Report to the Senior Operations Manager, North America. • Maintain professional relationships with stevedores, agents, port captains, surveyors, equipment suppliers, other vendors and customers in the region of responsibility. • Coordinate operations with the vessels, port captains and shore personnel to ensure a safe and an efficient coastwise operation. • Prepare stowage plans and to do vessel attendance when required. • Responsible for operations cost control and voyage accounting. • Assist the commercial department and our traffic manager when needed. We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: • Minimum 5 years relevant experience with break bulk and/or project cargo operation • Bachelor’s Degree in Shipping or Equivalent. • Seagoing experience with 3-4 years experience is a must. • Technical knowledge and able to make stowage, lifting, and securing plans • Self-motivated and flexible • Organized and structured • Negotiations skills • We offer competitive terms in an environment that gives possibility for personal and professional development.
