Description: Our restaurant is located on Granville Island, Vancouver. We fully serve a wider range of daily Lacarte menus with a wider range of breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and casual lounge sections. We have assembled an amazing team of kitchen and service staff. We are looking for an experienced full-time Sous-Chef position. Employer: Dockside Brewing Co. LTD (Dockside Restaurant) Position: Sous-Chef Vacancy: 2 Wage: $28.85 – $29.00 per hour Working Condition: 30-40 hours a week Working (Business) Location: 1253 Johnston Street Vancouver, BC V6H 3R9 Responsibilities: – Show cooking staff new techniques and demonstrate the use of updated equipment. – Oversee the tasks of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff. – Train cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques. – Regularly prepare and cook meals, including for special guests or events. – Develop innovative recipes. Requirement: – Completion of secondary school. – 3+ years of cooking experience is required. – Sous-chefs typically need several years of experience in commercial food preparation.
