Business address: 4565 10 Avenue Bay 1, New Hazelton, BC, V0J 2J0 Work Location: 416 McMillan Ave #406, Fraser Lake, BC V0J 1S0 Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Establish methods to meet work schedules Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures Estimate and order ingredients and supplies Hire food service staff Ensure food service and quality control Prepare budget and cost estimates Address customers' complaints or concerns Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage Prepare and submit reports Prepare food order summaries for chef Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres Supervise and check assembly of trays Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys Establish work schedules May assist in prepare food neatly, according to formula Assist staff with administrative or technical problems Have a complete understanding of menu items and explain them to guests as needed Understand and adhere to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual Complete University of Subway® courses as directed Requirements: - Education: Completion of high school is required. - Experience: At least 1 year of experience in food preparation or service is required. If the candidate does not have 1 year of experience, a post-secondary certificate in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or a related discipline is required. -Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure -Personal suitability: Flexibility, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Client focus -Ability to supervise: 2-3 people -Language: English is required. Salary: $18.50 hourly, 40 Hours per week Benefits: Uniforms provided at no cost, 2 free 6” sandwiches per full shift and tips are provided. 20 % discount on products when no working. Important Information: This position requires flexibility in schedule. The worker will work an 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM with 2 days off on a rotational basis.
