Business Address: 10 Stonehill Place NE, Suite 210, Calgary, AB, T3N 1T7 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent Anticipated Start Date As soon as possible Job Duties: Interpret welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment Operate hoisting and lifting equipment Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment MIG/TIG production line welding Read and interpret blueprints or process specifications Recognize defective welds, knowing the cause, and repair procedure for the defective area or part Perform repairs on stainless steel shroud Conduct checks to guarantee assigned equipment is operating and in good working order Liaise with the Quality Control Team, Shipper/Receiver, and other employees and supervisors Ensure the assigned work area is clean and free from hazards Adhere to health and safety protocols including always wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements Education: completion secondary education is required Experience: Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in welding is required to be eligible for trade certification. Be eligible for trade certification. Basic computer skills and ability to navigate through Lucid System. Experience using hand tools and equipment, along with experience using measuring.
