Why is the Yahoo homepage not working?
The website design files are on their servers and when you access or try to get to their website, the server reacts by displaying the material on their hard drive (and Datbase) which technically and most likely are the HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript files. You can not modify it because you do not own those files. Now technically you can utilize firebug, chrome develop tools, etc to edit the page using your own html & css code, but then you would need to do this every time the page refreshes and if you alter the design of the site then you may be destroying some of the functionalities (Weather, News, Header) of the website.
