Job details Location Stratford, ON N5A 6S8 Salary 25.19 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per Week Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Day, Evening, Overtime Start date Starts as soon as possible Vacancies 6 vacancies Overview Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience 1 to less than 7 months Work site environment Dusty Noisy Odours Work setting Manufacture Responsibilities Tasks Interpret welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines Determine weldability of materials Operate hoisting and lifting equipment Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment Experience and specialization Type of materials Aluminum alloys Stainless steel Steel, iron and heavy metals Welding techniques Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG) Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) Equipment and machinery experience Arc welding machine Gas welding machine Area of specialization Custom fabrication Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Repetitive tasks Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Manual dexterity Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Standing for extended periods Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment Steel-toed safety boots Welding helmet Personal suitability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Flexibility Organized Team player Who can apply to this job?
