Australian airline Qantas must pay $79 million in compensation and fine over ‘ghost flights

Gina Cass-Gottlieb, seat of the Australian Contest and Buyer Commission, reprimanded Qantas' activities, depicting them as "deplorable and inadmissible".

Numerous buyers had made travel arrangements, just to find that their booked flights had been dropped.

Qantas President Vanessa Hudson communicated lament that the aircraft neglected to fulfill its guidelines and apologized to impacted clients. "We realize that a considerable lot of our clients have been impacted by our inability to give ideal scratch-off notification and we are earnestly grieved," she said in a proclamation.
