Rain or Shine Child Care Centre is looking for 2 x Full-time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) positions. Position Info: -Position: Early Childhood Educator -Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent -Wage: $20.00 per hour -Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week -Number of Positions: 2 -Work Location: 3289 Matapan Crescent, Vancouver, BC, Canada V5M 4A9 Benefits: -4% vacation pay -Health and Wellness Package -A Health Spending Account of $100/month available after 3 months employment. Job Duties: - Plan, implement, and evaluate children’s activities and experiences. - Maintain a safe and healthy environment and organize space, equipment, and materials before and after activities. -Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems, and prepare reports for parents and staff. -Guide and help children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits. -Lead activities by telling or reading stories and teaching songs. -Provide opportunities to express creativity though art, dramatic, play, music, and physical activity. -Establish guidelines for behaviours. Job requirements : -Experience: No experience is required (Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset) -Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required -Certificate: E.C.E.
