New Delhi: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) proudly commemorated the Independence Day of Georgia, marking a day of celebration and reinforcing the strong cultural and diplomatic ties between India and Georgia. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair for Indo Georgia Film and Cultural Forum, extended his heartiest congratulations to H.E. Vakhtang Jaoshvili, Ambassador of Georgia to India, and the people of Georgia.

“On behalf of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and the entire art and culture fraternity of India, I take this wonderful opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Vakhtang Jaoshvili and the people of Georgia on their Independence Day. May our relations flourish day by day,” expressed Dr. Marwah in his congratulatory message.

The event was marked by a humble yet meaningful celebration at the Global Headquarters of ICMEI, located at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. A select group of ICMEI officers gathered to honor the day and discuss further avenues to enhance the Indo-Georgian relationship through art and culture.

Dr. Marwah emphasized the significance of the bilateral relationship, noting, “India and Georgia share a robust and ever-strengthening bond. Through the Indo Georgia Film and Cultural Forum, we are striving to develop and promote people-to-people connections, fostering mutual respect and understanding through various artistic and cultural exchanges.”

The Indo Georgia Film and Cultural Forum, established under the aegis of ICMEI, has been instrumental in creating a platform for artists, filmmakers, and cultural enthusiasts from both nations to collaborate and exchange ideas. The forum’s initiatives include film screenings, cultural festivals, workshops, and educational exchanges, all aimed at bringing the two cultures closer.

Dr. Marwah also highlighted the forum’s future plans, which include collaborative film projects, art exhibitions, and cultural tours that will further cement the relationship between India and Georgia. “We believe that art and culture are powerful tools to bridge gaps and build lasting relationships. Our efforts are dedicated to ensuring that the Indo-Georgian bond continues to grow stronger with each passing year,” he added.

The celebration concluded with a promise of continued collaboration and a shared vision for a future where the cultural ties between India and Georgia flourish even more vibrantly. The ICMEI remains committed to its mission of promoting international cooperation through media and entertainment, making significant strides in fostering global cultural unity.
