Job Title: Bakery Manager

Work location: Same as above
Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent
Wage: $34-$36/hr
Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible


Job Description:


Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the Bakery Department
Manage staff and assign duties
Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale
Develop and implement marketing strategies
Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues
Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues
Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff
Order materials, equipment and supplies
Oversea the baking of mixed dough and batters
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Draw up production schedules
Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
Inspect kitchen and food service areas
Keep records related to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods




Employment Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience as Bakery Manager
A minimum of 3 years of experience as Baker is required.

Important information:


Flexibility in schedule is required. Candidates must have availability to work weekends and holidays. The shifts per day are as follows and will be assigned depending on the business needs:
5 AM to 2:00 PM
6 AM to 3:00 PM
7 AM to 4:00 PM
9 AM to 6:00 PM
A 30-minute unpaid lunch break will be provided as well as 2 paid healthy breaks of 15 minutes. Overtime may be required
