Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [For the remission of sins that are “past”, not future sin. Check out the definition of this word “past” in a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Word # G4266 is Greek word, proginomai, pronounced prog-in'-om-ahee, from 4253 and 1096; to be already, i.e. have previousy transpired:--be past]. 2 Peter 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. [Purged from “old” sins, not future sins. Very clear to me]. Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. [Many believers will tell you that even future sin is forgiven; no need to repent again. These and other verses such as Acts 8:18-22 and 1 John 1:6-10 show us that God says otherwise. Who do you choose to believe, God or another human? I truly hope you choose to believe God]. I would like to ask you some questions: *What is still in the world once you are forgiven? Answer: Your flesh body and worldly temptations are still there. Can you deny that? I don't think so. *If you fall short in the future, do you honestly believe God gives you a pass? Answer: Not according to the above verses. * How can you be cleansed of sin if you’re actively involved in the act of sin? I would like to hear your answer. Also, see Galatians 2:17.
