• Company name: Platinum Marine Group Ltd. • Business address: 11580 Mitchell Rd, Richmond, British Columbia V6V 1T7 • Title of position: Naval Architect NOC 21399 Job duties: • Manage the design and construction of 100ft+ custom luxury boats. • Responsible for the build from the concept design phase, through construction, to commissioning. • Define project scope, estimate cost, and maintain budget. • Help develop and review engineering (Equipment lists, schematics, etc). • Maintain a positive relationship with the boat owners (project updates, and implementing custom requests) • Communications with vendors (guide the team in specifying/sourcing equipment and reviewing technical information) • Proactively maintain daily communications with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of work. • Use problem-solving skills to resolve construction and budget issues. o Terms of employment: Full time -Permanent position o Wage - $ 62.50 per hour for 40 hours per week, 20 days of vacation o Language- English required • Benefits: Extended Health, Dental, Travel, Basic Group Life, AD&D • Employee Assistance Program • Condensed Work Schedule Available: 4 days/week @ 10 hours/day • Location of work: 11580 Mitchell Rd. Hands on construction experience is an asset. Ability to read, understand, and explain engineering plans and schematics. Proficient on the computer utilizing Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and MS Project. Proficient in Rhino3d and AutoCad Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead a team of engineering staff, and production team members. Proven organizational skills and attention to detail. Solution orientated with the ability to problem solve unique, custom roadblocks. | |
