Company operating name: DJ Specialties Business address and location of work: 343 Ring Road Iqaluit, Nunavut X0A 0H0 Title of position: Warehouse worker-material handling NOC 75101 Job duties: • Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment • Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking. • Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials • Operate loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses • May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials. • Must have driver’s license for driving a cargo van . • Receiving freight from the airport and other suppliers such as sealift. • Stocking the warehouse. • inventory control of warehouses • Daily pulls from warehouse to the store or other locations . • Placing stock in and throughout the store . • Will require interacting with other staff, management and customers . • Snow clearing at warehouses, store and staff housing units. Terms of employment: Temporary – 2-year contract. This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Overtime may occasionally be required due to nature of the business Language: oral and written English Wage: $20.35/ hr Benefits: Extended health benefits after 3 months Subsidized rent at $ 350 a month. 10 % store discount on all food items Education: Some secondary school education.
