Position: Supermarket Butcher Types: Full-time, Permanent Wage: CAD$21.00/hour Working Hours: 30- 40 hours/week Benefits: 4% of vacation pay Job Duties: • Cut, trim, bone , grind, and prepare custom and/or standard cuts of meat, poultry, fish and shellfish for sale or customers' orders • Prepare meat for special displays and/or delivery • Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products • Adhere to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and food safety standards • Ensure food storage conditions are adequate • May supervise, direct work or train meat cutters Job requirements: • Completion of secondary school; • 1-2 years of on-the-job training.
