Looking for a Line Cook – Level 1 at Tacofino Squamish! Tacofino began as a food truck in the back of a surf shop in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia. We balanced surfing with creating world inspired food with the best possible ingredients. We have since grown and have added food trucks and locations across Vancouver Island and Vancouver. Position: Line Cook - Level 1 Position Vacancy: 1 What we offer: • Work/Life balance • Values-oriented and positive workplace environment • Support from a positive head office team • Competitive salary + great bonuses • Eligibility for extended health and dental benefits • Maternity and Parental leave top-up plan • Employee and Family Assistance Program • Opportunities for continued growth Employment Condition(s): • Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time • Working Location: #520-1200 Hunter Place, Squamish, BC V8B 0G8 • Working hours: 35-40 hours per week • Wage: $20.00 per hour Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook complete meals. • Food preparation: cutting, portioning, frying, baking, following recipes, putting away orders, and cleaning of kitchen tools and facility as required. • Making modifications to orders based on dietary or allergy needs. • Supporting with inventory when required. • Support in cleaning and upkeep of kitchen equipment. • Supporting the cleaning of workspace and kitchen. • Prepping and portioning of food items. • Provide additional support as needed. • Ensure all food preparation and storage procedures are followed as outlined by • Vancouver Coastal Health, to include FIFO and appropriate labeling. • Playing a role in ensuring a respectful workplace environment by professional communication with all team members and customers. • Other duties as required. Qualifications: • Language: English • Education: Completion of secondary • Experience: 6+ months experience in a fast-paced & professional kitchen environment preferred • A strong passion for food • A positive and professional attitude • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines • Basic knife skills • Food Safe Level 1 an asset • Ability to work evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the business • The desire for growth and opportunity How to apply: • Please send your resume to: people@tacofino.com At Tacofino, we believe our people are what makes us great.
