1. Job Description Analyze market research data to improve business decisions or activities Conduct economic or commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products or services Develop all kinds of events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes Develop communication strategies Direct the development and maintenance of an organization’s Internet and intranet sites Direct the marketing strategies of establishments Direct the production of educational and publicity programs and informational materials to awaken curiosity and interest in the subject matter Direct the team on crucial information they should gather and research Establish distribution networks for products and services Evaluate an organization’s Internet presence Evaluate communication strategies and programs Evaluate the marketing strategies used by establishments Implement communication strategies and programs Oversee the preparation of written material for website content Publicize activities, workshops, meetings and other events for fundraising or information purposes Review written material, such as reports, briefs, speeches, presentations and press releases Develop promotional materials Manage contracts Plan and control budget and expenditures Write and edit press releases, newsletter and communications materials Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that publicize activities and events on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services Act as spokesperson for an organization Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies Answer written and oral inquiries Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys Initiate and maintain contact with the media Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions Maintain and manage digital database Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support 2. Job Requirements • College/CEGEP • 3-5 years’ relevant work experience • Possess effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people • Ability to constantly generate new ideas for the company’s advancement and success • Great leadership and problem-solving skills 3.
