Our restaurant is located in Metrotown and fully serves Korean-style Chinese cuisine. Now we are looking for experienced chefs willing to become our valued team members! Employer: Gamsa Enterprises Ltd. (o/a Pal Pal Noodle House) Position: 1 Full-time Chef Working Location: 5021 Kingsway #109, Burnaby, BC. V5H 4A5 Wage: $35.00 per hour (to be negotiated) and 4% of the gross income for paid vacation per year. Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week. Start date of Employment: ASAP Responsibilities - Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities. - Plan menus and availability of seasonal ingredients. - Ensure food meets quality standards. - Estimate food requirements and may estimate food costs. - Oversee all kitchen operations. - Supervise activities of other cooks. - Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs. - Train staff to prepare and cook all the menu items. - Enforce safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen. - Create new recipes to keep the menu fresh. - Monitor food stock and place orders. Requirements - Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate. - A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage. - Experience: 3 to 5 years of commercial cooking and food preparation experience. - Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, wok, and deep fryer). - Leadership skills. - Excellent time management abilities - Familiarity with sanitation regulations.
