Accountant needed for PROCON MINING AND TUNNELLING LTD 1 Vacancy Location: 4445 LOUGHEED HWY suite 620 Burnaby, BC V5C 0E4 Canada Duties and Responsibilities: As per NOC 11100 Financial auditors and accountants; Accountant: • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies • Prepare reports and audit findings • Prepare financial statements and reports • Assist with preparation of annual audited IFRS financial statements and reports • Participate in preparation of quarterly ASPE Joint Venture financial statements for submission to JV partners • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records • Analyze financial documents and reports • Examine accounting records • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation • Assist with managing Fixed Assets and CAPEX Experience and specialization Computer and technology knowledge: Accounting software, MS Office, MS Excel, MS Windows Area of specialization • Accounting Salary: $72,100 annually / 40 hours per Week Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time Start Date: As soon as possible Employment conditions: Day Requirements / Skills: Languages: English Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Workplace information: Work must be completed at the physical location.
