Seen or unseen? | |
Can we humans see everything? The answer would be, no! Seen/temporary and unseen/eternal! 2 Kings 6:17 (KJV) And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (So much is unseen, not understood, until God opens your eyes). 2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Colossians 1:16 (KJV) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: (By the Son were all things created, and through His Spirit. That includes everything; it includes everything visible and invisible. Did you get that? Every thing was created by God for one purpose, to give God pleasure. How long has it been since you have given God any pleasure because that is what you were created for? One of the greatest ways to displeasure God is to follow the traditions of men that make void the Word of God, instead of following the entire plan of God concerning His plan of Salvation). Things that are Temporary/Seen: Creation, Human beings, Flesh, Terrestrial body, Aging, Incomplete, Changing, Mortal, Finite, Time bound, Natural, Earthly realm, Our dimension. Things that are Eternal/Unseen: Creator, Spiritual beings, Spirit, Celestial body, Not aging, Complete, Changeless, Immortal, Infinite, Timeless, Supernatural, Heavenly realm, God's dimension. Compare them side by side, word for word. See the obvious differences between the two. [Living with a temporary focus involves]: A concern for status and possessions; A desire to live a problem free life; A longing for security that comes from earthly resources; A focus on gaining experiences that supposedly lead to a full life. [Living with an eternal focus]: Forsaking the things of this world for the glory of Jesus Christ; Having no regard for your own name; Embracing risk in order to share the love of Jesus Christ; Living from a place of surrender that responds to Jesus in every area of life; Cultivating a sense of urgency to share God’s word with others; The longing for your ultimate home in Heaven; A daily dying to self. I encourage you to take stock of your life and embrace the call to risk everything for God’s plan. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are here to point others to Him. That is your mission. As you focus on eternity, you will find yourself naturally concerned with eternal things instead of temporary things. The Bible teaches that a day is coming when the temporary things of this world will pass away. At that moment, all that will matter are the eternal things of God. Today, I encourage you to begin living with an eternal focus. A day is coming when you will be glad you did!!! Food for thought: Can we humans see everything? No. There is so much we can’t see with our flesh eyes; we cannot see into the realm where God is (heavenly, spirit realm). All others that have died or have not been born as of yet are there in their spirit bodies. See Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 in a KJV Bible. Our spirits return to Him that gave it. Also, everything we see, hear and experience fits into Gods plan somehow. That includes everything we cannot see, hear or experience in our flesh bodies. | |
