Is Eve conversing with an actual serpent, a symbol or Satan himself? Please explain to me how you talk to a literal serpent or a symbol]. Job 1:7 [See Job 1:12 and 2:2 also. Do you suppose God was talking to just a symbol? Can a symbol walk to and fro on the earth and answer God's questions? Please explain]. Ezekiel 28:12-19 [A description of Satan (king of Tyrus). Do you suppose God created something just symbolic? What is an anointed cherub that covereth? Who anointed him? See Isaiah 14:11-20 also. Lucifer = hay-lale in the Hebrew language'; from (in the sense of brightness); the morning star {fake}]. Mark 1:13 [Was Jesus tempted by something symbolic or the real Satan]? 2 Corinthians 11:3 [Did something symbolic beguile (wholly seduce) Eve]? Beguile: ex-ap-at-ah'-o [In the Greek language]; from G1537 and G538; {to seduce wholly}:—beguile, deceive. Beguiled is wholly seduced. What happens when a woman is wholly seduced? 2 Corinthians 11:14 [What does the word transformed mean? It means transfigured or disguised, to masquerade as. Satan will masquerade as an angel of light. What does angel of light mean? Light = truth from God's word (disguised as angel of truth). See Psalm 43:3, 119:105; John 17:17; Luke 11:33-36. Satan is a liar and the father of it. See John 8:44. He masquerades as the real Jesus Christ, our true Angel of light]. Revelation 12:7-9 [Michael warred against who, the dragon or something symbolic? There was a serpent in the Garden of Eden (see Genesis 3:1 again). He is coming back here to earth real soon. Is something just symbolic being cast to earth? How many does he deceive? The dragon and the serpent are just two of the many names and roles of Satan]. Do you suppose a symbol is being cast out of heaven? Who would want you to think he is just a symbol? I'll give you one guess, his initials are Satan. I believe these are just a few of the verses that confirm Satan is real and not just symbolic as some choose to believe. He will be cast out on earth in the future and he will be the antichrist [which means instead of Christ in the Greek language]. Regardless of your beliefs, keep studying your Bibles completely; don't omit any part of it. Food for thought: Some view Satan the Devil as just a symbol, principle or quality of evil that exists inside of us. However, the Bible records a conversation between God and Satan. God is perfect, so he could not have been talking to an evil part of himself. (Deuteronomy 32:4) Likewise, Satan tempted Jesus, who is God in the flesh and free of sin. (Matthew 4:8-10; 1 John 3:5) Thus, the Bible shows that the Devil is real and not merely a personification of evil. Remember, Satan’s stock-in-trade are lies and deceptions (see Revelation 12:9 below); he wants you to believe he is just symbolic. He has warehouses full of lies! He will always oblige those who have no Biblical knowledge. He has filled the world with trivial pursuits and the unwary gladly taste their delights. To have no knowledge of God’s wonderful word is bad enough, but the majority of Christians are satisfied with their ignorance. They have no thought that knowledge is preparation for eternity. The Kingdom of God will shortly be the Kingdom on earth. The Lord’s prayer makes this abundantly clear. “Thy Kingdom come”. Prepare now, don’t wait till it is too late! Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. | |
