Employer: Gaon Construction Ltd Job Title: Construcion Engineering Technician (NOC 22300) Type: Permanent, Full-time Vacancy: 1 Business Address: #2, 2565 Hanna Crescent NW, Edmonton AB T6R 0M4 Working Address: Various Locations Wage: $35-$36/hour and 4 % of vacation pay or entitled to 10days paid vacation per year Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week (To be determined) Start date of Employment: A.S.A.P Job Duties: -Assist in preparing detailed engineering plans, specifications, and technical drawings for construction projects. -Conduct on-site surveys and inspections to assess topography, soil conditions, drainage systems, and infrastructure such as roads, highways, buildings, and water supply systems, providing essential data to support project design and execution. -Perform technical tasks such as drafting, material testing, and quality control to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. -Collaborate with engineers and project managers to review and modify project designs based on site conditions and regulatory requirements. -Utilize specialized software to model, analyze, and update construction project details, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. -Support civil engineering projects by monitoring progress, addressing technical challenges, and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to maintain timelines and quality. Requirements: Completion of one or two year college program in civil engineering technology is usually required At least 2+ years of supervised work experience in a construction field are required.
