10 Commandments gone?

No way!!

Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; (Some choose to believe the 10 Commandments were blotted out according to this verse. If you believe that go ahead and try breaking one of them today. If you murder someone or rob a bank, among other things, I think you’ll discover that particular assumption is not true).

2 Chronicles 33:8 Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses. (The statutes and ordinances written by Moses [ceremonial laws and traditions; animal sacrifices, etc.] is what I believe were nailed to the cross).

Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. (God tells us He doesn’t want animals sacrificed to Him).

Deuteronomy 9:10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. (You can’t blot out what God wrote in stone).

*The below verses, plus others, tell us the purpose of the law.

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (This verse, among others, tells us that no flesh can be saved by the law. The law lets us know what sin is though; that is its purpose).

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Not a good idea to teach the law is destroyed).

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: (The new covenant, Grace, is in effect now through Jesus Christ; the law of God still exists for a reason, see Romans 3:20 and Galatians 2:16 above).

I have tried to connect some of the dots to hopefully gain a more complete picture; it makes it a little clearer in my mind. I truly hope this helps. Keep studying my friends.
