The position of Senior Sales and Business Development Manager is a critical role to the owners and someone who shares their strategic vision for growth and opportunities. OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE: • Advise, strategize and make recommendations and decisions on business growth and innovation • Represent RA’s group of companies with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings • Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance and growth • Develop campaigns, generate leads, build and nurture client relationships • Research industry needs and gaps, and identify how our solutions to meet them • Build, train, motivate, and advise a team of account managers & customer service associates • Continuously develop team talent and skills to ensure best practices in customer relations and service delivery CORE FUNCTIONS: • STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP: Work with the owners on company objectives and implementing company goals with regards to account management & revenue growth • KEY DECISION MAKING: Make recommendations on key business strategies, especially with regards to this department and where it intersects with the other RA Group of Companies’ offerings • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Be the face of our account management, sales and business development department by supporting the team in nurturing existing relationships and forming new ones • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Lead the Account Managers & Customer Service team in establishing effective plans, campaigns & service offerings to support the sales and revenue goals of the company • DRIVE REVENUE & GROWTH: Evaluate and assess opportunities in the marketplace for services and products that will drive further growth and profitability • TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Establish and manage effective programmes to coach, engage and train members of the Account Management & Customer Service team, and lead the hiring of new talent DETAILS OF FUNCTION: • Develop sales strategies to improve market share in all services & present to the owners; • Develop a sales plan to ensure profitable revenue growth across the company’s product portfolio; • Develop a framework of KPI’s and reporting mechanisms related to the revenue, service delivery and quality assurance of the Account Management Department; • Perform sales activities on major accounts and negotiate contracts; • Lead team members on the marketing and communications team on campaigns; • Formulate sales practices and procedures; • Develop forecasts on annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams and provide quarterly results assessments demonstrating sales productivity; • Interpret short and long-term effects of sales strategies on company profitability; Job Qualifications for Senior Sales and Business Development Manager • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management • Proven ability to manage and mentor a team, with experience in leading cross-functional teams to meet business goals. • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans that result in significant revenue growth. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning. • Experience building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, including key decision-makers in large accounts. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and strategies effectively to internal teams and clients. • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and managing complex sales cycles. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving objectives. • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and understanding financial statements to assess sales performance. • Strong proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales-related tools. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities and goals. • Ability to address challenges proactively and creatively, finding innovative solutions for both clients and the business. • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development activities. | |
