Grieved Him! | |
This is a KJV Bible study guide. Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. [Who are the sons of God mentioned here? Bad angels. See word # H1121 in a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance]. Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. [This verse refers to the above verse. Sounds like these fellows are in trouble; they didn't do it right. See the next verse]. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [We all must be born innocent coming through the bag of waters in our mothers womb. Some angels chose not to do it according to God's plan, but left their own habitation, came to earth, and seduced many of the daughters of men]. Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. [We are told in verses 1 to 4 what happened that caused God to grieve in His heart. Those same bad angels are coming back. Read the verses below]. According to the New Testament, where does evil originate? Mark 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Mark 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: Mark 7:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. [What is meant by stars of heaven, them and the dragon. See the next verse]. Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. [This 9th verse explains much of the 4th verse in Revelation 12]. This is a topic that all of us need to continue researching and studying in God’s word. Try the website below.
