Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies Check prescriptions for proper dosage Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff Requirements: Education: A university degree in pharmacy and a period of supervised practical training are required Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field is required. Licensure is required. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Fast-paced environment, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Attention to detail, Physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Hand-eye coordination, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods of time, Ability to distinguish between colours, Work under pressure, Overtime. Personal suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral and written communication, Flexibility, Initiative, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player. Ability to Supervise: Up to 5 people. Language: English is required. Salary: $60.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week.
