Consult with RN or designate for changes in treatment strategies as needed. • Administers prescribed medications and treatments within the limitations of the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). • Monitors and reports changes in physical and psychological conditions of residents. Document changes on the resident health record, notifies family and physician of changes in condition. • Active participant in Interdisciplinary Care Conferences. • Participates in care plan reviews to ensure current and individualized care plans. • Supports the administrative requirements at the community in accordance with established standards, including but not limited to; admissions, discharge and ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. • Actively participates in orientation of new staff, community programs, meetings, committees and educational in-services. • Provides coaching and direction to care staff as needed and uses in the moment education to improve resident care which includes completing all Point of Care (POC) documentation. Must be able to work with cleaners, detergents and other cleaning equipment. | |
