Currently, we are in the process of hiring an experienced Cook! Employer: 3331445 Nova Scotia Ltd. (o/a Arirang Restaurant) Position: Cook Vacancy: 1 Job Duties: - Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods - Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, and estimate food requirements - Monitor and maintain inventory and order supplies as needed - Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety and sanitation regulations - Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling procedures - Maintain consistency and quality of food by following recipes and presentation standards - Adjust seasoning and ingredients to achieve desired flavor and quality - Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning - Manage food storage and rotation to minimize waste and maintain freshness - Follow health and safety guidelines and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed - Requirement: - Completion of secondary school. - 2+ years of commercial cooking experience are required. Conditions. Wage: $16.25-$17.00 / hour (To be negotiated) and 4% of vacation pay Working Condition: 30 - 40 hours a week.
