Reset via Power and Buttons For many Canon printers, resetting can be done using a button combination. Turn off the printer and hold the Stop/Reset button. While holding it, press the Power button and keep both pressed for about 10 seconds. Release the Stop/Reset button first, then the Power button. This initiates a soft reset. If you need a factory reset, go to "Setup" on the LCD screen, find "Device Settings," and select "Reset." Some models may require holding the Stop/Reset button and pressing the power button twice. Check your printer manual if this method doesn’t work.
